For the earth to be created, there were infinite events that had to occur. The rusted car, rotting bridge, broken boat and abandon building.
Countless causes and conditions that gave rise to them.
Take away one element and they would not exist.
Endless interconnecting events had to happen in order to make these objects. The designers, engineers, builders, manufacturers and artisans all working together.
Take away one event and they would not exist.
Soon I realise that the entire universe is present right in front of me. And I am aware that I cannot exist without the interdependence and impermanence of all the elements and events that gave rise to me.
I breath in deeply. I breath out slowly.
I am grateful and I smile.
